Seven ways of

seeing

Some of you may say no thanks. I’ve got my set of eyes, I like how I see, and I’m happy like this. Then perfect, this experiment isn’t for you.

But if your body leaned forward, you felt your curiosity pique, maybe a low buzz or hum started in your bones or your nervous system got a little activated with excitement…then come over here with me.

Because I have a feeling you’re going to want to see what happens when you look at your life through a different lens.

And then another.

And another.

Until you realize there was never only one way to see it.

Imagine I walked up to you and handed you a bag with seven sets of lenses. Maybe it’s glasses, a monocle, binoculars, sunglasses, opera glasses, three-dimensional glasses, and a viewmaster.

Then I told you, each time you looked through those lenses, you’d have a different way of seeing the world.

You don't need to know anything about the Embodied Realms.

You don't need to be "good" at embodiment.

You only need to be willing to experiment.

Embody the Experiment

For one week, I invite you to experiment with more than one way of seeing what's in front of you.

Get curious.

Step outside what you’ve been taught and see what your body has to show you.

Invite Curiosity

Your bones look at the world in a specific way.

 Your muscles, another.

Your inner ocean turns it all upside down, and your DNA may make you question reality.

Borrow a lens

You don't need to choose the “right” lens. You need more than one way to meet what’s happening right in front of you.

See your life through your body

look through a new lens

Explore the lenses your body orients to the world through by clicking on them on the left.

Explore the lenses your body orients to the world through by clicking on them, below.

Bone asks you to notice stability.

What feels solid? What can you lean into? What has remained steady beneath everything that's changed?

Bone carries the energy of the structures you've inherited and the ones you've built your life upon. It draws your attention toward what supports you, and what may be asking to be rebuilt.

Muscle asks you to notice the push and pull between you and the world.

Muscle creates strength through rupture and repair, but It teaches us about weaving creative reciprocity in relationship: what do you reach for, what do you resist, what do you give, and what do you receive.

This lens asks you to notice the forces moving between you and everything around you.

Fluid asks you to notice what's moving.

Your life is always in motion. Through your body, through your relationships, through the ecosystems you're part of.

What is flowing? What is stagnant? Where is there pressure? Which directions are you moving in?

It asks you to notice your own rhythm, what's influencing it, and what you're influencing.

Organ asks you to notice independence and interdependence.

Your body has many overlapping ecosystems, full of autonomous organs doing their work in relationship to one another.

It asks you to notice where you end and something else begins. What is yours to tend? What can you trust to do its own work? What changes when you remember that autonomy and belonging exist together?

Nervous System asks you to notice what shifts before you have time to think.

Your Nervous System is a conduit for communication. It translates input from the world around you, sends signal from the brain to body and back, and is in conversation between instinct and intuition.

It asks you to pay attention to what guides you. What do you do automatically? What do you know before you can explain how you know it?

DNA asks you to notice the patterns.

You exist at the micro and the macro, from the coding inside a single cell to the patterns you've inherited and pass on.

Notice the repeating shapes. Where have you seen this before? In yourself, your family, your relationships? Where is your frequency alive in the pattern of something else?

Fascia asks you to notice how nothing stands alone.

Fascia is the Field made form and the interconnection between every lens. It has many phases and invites you to notice probability, possibility, and potential.

See what becomes available when you stop asking what is happening in isolation, and begin noticing what else it might be connected to.

Each day you're invited into a different way of seeing.

  1. a short daily audio transmission from Ash
  2. one embodied experiment and question to carry with you; and
  3. an invitation to notice what happens

Everything is delivered in Discord, but the experiment doesn't happen in your phone. It happens in your actual life.

It’ll show up while you make breakfast, during your morning walk or commute, in the middle of an argument. While you’re resting, working, wondering…living.

You’re not pausing everything so you can make a week-long study of the body.

You're seeing what your life looks like through it.

your week-long experiment includes:

Curiosity and a playful spirit. A willingness to soften what feels rigid, to loosen what feels tight, and to hold one question each day as you let a new perspective reveal itself.

You can bring the situation you've been wondering about. Or, the part of your life that doesn't have a neat answer yet.

What you need

Your daily audios and prompts will be in a Discord server each morning (Eastern time) and a short reflection will be posted each evening.

There will be a separate channel to share what you’re noticing alongside other participants. This is invitational. You’re welcome to experiment as a solo journey, share short posts, use this space to process “out loud,” or anything in between.

Where?

For seven days, beginning September 1 and ending on September 8.

I've been listening to bodies professionally since 2018, following the strange threads that connect bones and blood, ancestry and dreams, psyche and mythology, and the living world.

The Embodied Realms emerged from that listening.

And Seven Ways of Seeing is an invitation to listen with me.

I'm Ash Stinson, a mythosomatic guide, energy worker, artist, and space tender.

Enter your name and email address below to sign up for Seven Ways of Seeing! You'll receive an email to confirm your address is correct, and then a welcome email once you've confirmed.

For six days you’ll borrow the perspectives of a different Embodied Realm: bone, muscle, fluid, organ, nervous system, or DNA. you'll end your week at Fascia and remember that none of these ways of seeing exist in isolation.

begin your embodied experiment

One body. Many ways of seeing.

For one week, try meeting your daily life through a different lens.

You might discover a structure you hadn't noticed.

A relationship you hadn't considered.

Movement where you thought you were stuck, or the gift in the stagnancy.

A possibility you couldn't see before.

Or maybe just relief because you finally feel that there’s more than one way to meet your inner and outer world.

I'm ready to see differently
